The island of Trinidad lies approximately 6.8 miles off the coast of Venezuela and shares a similar ecosystem to that of its ancient mainland; though through thousands of years of evolution, the flora and fauna have become quite unique to the island and some, endemic.

In a series of eight illustrations, both wild and domestic plants are represented through cross- hatching and shading techniques.
