"As a human being, I believe that it is our innate responsibility to be connected to our surroundings; to nature; to be sympathetic and empathetic to the life that surrounds us. As an artist, I believe that it is my responsibility to showcase this connection; to portray our environment, both natural and man-made. Through various forms of textiles and illustrations, I reimagine our world, highlighting the often overlooked, bringing to light the beautifully simple details of our surroundings. My work aims to form a reconnection with what we at times take for granted. It is an escape from the dreary concrete and asphalt; a portal in which I wish for my viewers to lose themselves... Through the processes of illustration, screen printing and other surface manipulating techniques, I represent these worlds in which I wish to transport my viewer."
