freeing of the hand

Habits are hard to break. You find yourself (finally) following a routine, and with it you find comfort. The same goes for habits formed in art making.

After realising that I had found the right medium to work with in a way that I found absolutely satisfying, I couldn't stop.

But I was slowly losing the excitement that this line making once gave.

So, I hid my pens, my precious microns, and forced myself to use charcoals.

I found myself revelling in the organic movements of this new media.

The silky yet textured images that were created inspired me to go through sheet after sheet of paper.

I had freed my hands from the tight grasp of the detailed pen drawings, albeit for a short period of time.
