As our world rapidly evolves in every sense possible, we begin to forget and abandon our natural surroundings. Following its namesake, this project was aimed to educate the urban dweller on urban gardening and the ease in creating a green space amongst brick, concrete and glass.
The introduction of nature to our immediate spaces provides, in a way, a sense of escape. It connects us to the natural world and albeit in a minute way, helps to purify our immediate surroundings.
The project consisted of small, portable, chiffon draw-string bags each with an illustration of a fruit or vegetable screenprinted on its surface. Each bag contained seeds representing their designated illustration.
Tomato seeds, bell pepper seeds and coriander were some of the seeds chosen.
Chiffon, cotton, miscellaneous seeds.
